Its the following morning in Sageway and the Dixon household are sitting down to breakfast:
"So are you ready for everything Daniel" Rosy smiled "first day back at school!"
Daniel looked at his gran and shrugged
"Its ok I guess, don't wanna wear this stupid uniform though...its so ridiculous"
"I paid good money for that uniform" added his mother "So you will be wearing it!!" Pen paused and then continued "Talking of money, I saw Dee yesteday. She was spouting some spiteful drivil about you giving her money Merle?!"
Merle looked into his plate and turned to Rosy as if he'd completely missed what Penelope had said
"Dear Rosy, isn't it a little strange to be having salad for breakfast?"
"Oh no dear. Its good to start the day with a healthy meal! I was brought up on this!"
